2015 Planned Giving Day Conference Flyer
Featuring a keynote address by Dr. Russell James
from Texas Tech University whose scientific research
is revolutionizing the way nonprofits conduct their
planned giving efforts.
Choose from three tracks tailored to your needs:
Planned Giving 101: For individuals new to the field of planned giving. These nuts and bolts sessions feature speakers Frank Minton and Alison O’Carroll covering topics from taxes to categories of gifts.
Generalist: For fundraisers who wear many hats. Learn how to engage your board and volunteers in planned giving and get tips on how to put it all together with your other fundraising efforts.
Specialist: For planned giving specialists and professional advisors including attorneys, CPAs and wealth advisors. This year’s focus will be on elder issues, with sessions covering cultivating and stewarding the older donor and avoiding legal pitfalls surrounding the elder donor.
Construction Notice: There will be construction on Pike Street between 8th and 9th Avenues on Thursday, May 14th. They will be closing 8th Ave at Pike Street at 9am. The WSCC garage will still be open. There is a side entrance just east of 9th Ave on Pike Street (noted on this map) with a bright yellow "Parking" banner overhead and guests can still access the main garage entrance from the Seneca Street side of 8th Ave.

Continuing Education Credits:
The Washington Planned Giving Council is pleased to offer continuing education credits for busy professionals like you, who are taking part in our Planned Giving Day conference. Here are the credits and how to take advantage of them:
CFRE® (Certified Fund Raising Executive)
Approved for 6.25 hours.
If you want to track your hours at the conference, request our special CFRE tracking sheet at the registration desk in the lobby or download and print it here. Track your hours and report them to the CFRE board.
CLE (Continuing Legal Education)
Credits pending approval.
We will have sign-in sheets outside the session rooms. You’ll need your Washington State Bar Association number to sign in. After the conference, we will enter each participant into the online system on the WSBA website in order for each participant to receive credit.
CFP® (Certified Financial Planner)
Sessions approved for CFP credit:
Specialist 1, Specialist 2, and Closing Keynote.
We will have sign-in sheets outside the session rooms. You’ll need your CFP number to sign in.
CPE (Continuing Professional Education)
Sessions: All Specialist and PG 101 sessions.
We will have sign-in sheets outside the session rooms. Participants will receive a certiﬁcate, signed by the speaker after the conference, via email. Participants are responsible for reporting their own hours.
