2018 Frank Minton Professional Achievement Award Winner 

The Washington Planned Giving Council is honored to recognize Albert Thurmond as the recipient of the 2018 Frank Minton Professional Achievement Award.

Albert Thurmond has been in the University of Washington’s Office for Planned Giving for 18 years and is its Assistant Vice President for Planned Giving.  Prior to the UW, Albert directed the capital campaign for Seattle University’s new school of law, was major and planned giving officer and assistant general counsel for the Seattle Art Museum, planned giving officer for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and was in private practice.  He did his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Washington and is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound School of Law, now Seattle University School of Law.

In 2012, the Washington Planned Giving Council established the Frank Minton Professional Achievement Award to recognize those who have demonstrated an outstanding career of service, dedication, and leadership in charitable gift planning.
