What the Scholars Had to Say About Their Experience at Past Planned Giving Day Conferences:

"No More Excuses. That should be the tagline for those of us whom planned giving is just one part of our daily development lives. This was a day of inspiration and knowledge and I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet so many experienced professionals."

"My take away is that we don't need to isolate planned giving, it should be a part of everyone's donor-centered tool belt – just another way to help our donors achieve their philanthropic dreams. The potential of planned giving to transform your organization is directly proportional to your ability to institutionalize incredible stewardship for all donors. A successful planned giving officer is equal parts matchmaker, problem solver, and dream weaver."

"I thought everyone was extremely welcoming, approachable, and willing to offer guidance and advice to our organization as we start up our own planned giving. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn and absorb as much as possible from the Washington Planned Giving Council and its members. The scholarship is extremely beneficial to smaller organizations like the Rachel Corrie Foundation that lack resources to attend such a conference and become a member. We just want to take advantage of everything the council has to offer this year and I'm confident we'll grow not only in our ability to become more financially sustainable as an organization but in our networking with other non-profits who are doing amazing work for our communities."
