2017 Lynn Schrader Memorial Scholarship

The Lynn Schrader Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to Lynn Schrader, one of our profession's guiding lights as a dear friend and deeply admired colleague. A champion for professionalism with the highest level of ethics, Lynn always exhibited wisdom as a teacher and mentor. Though he left us too soon, he continues to inspire our work and our lives with his profound contributions and extraordinary spirit. 

Apply today to receive a scholarship that includes membership in the Washington Planned Giving Council from May 1, 2017 - April 30, 2018; attendance to Planned Giving Day 2017; and a planned giving mentor. Three scholarships will be awarded.

The deadline for applications is March 19, 2017

Scholars will be notified by April 1, 2017

Scholarship Eligibility 

Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

  • Current staff member of a nonprofit organization or an allied professional (attorney, financial planner, accountant, trust officer) are eligible to apply.

  • Only one individual per organization may receive a scholarship.

  • Applicants must be at their organization for at least one year.

  • Applicant's organization has a relatively small operating budget.

  • Applicant must commit to putting into practice what is learned.

  • Applicant must commit to attending at least four WPGC lunch meetings and the Planned Giving Day Conference on May 2, 2017 in Seattle.

Gifts made to the fund will underwrite need-based scholarships for attendance at the annual Washington Planned Giving Planned Giving Day Conference.
